NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)
The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit has been very active in conducting a variety of social service camps and activities throughout the year. It also organized a National Integration Camp in the month of April. In coordination with Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagar Palike, Munireddy Palya Nagar the NSS Unit organized a “Swachh Bharath Abhiyan - NSS camp” (Clean & Green programme) . To commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel a “National Unity Day” was organized.
Regular Activities Programmes
1. Creating awareness on Voting Awareness program.
2. Creating awareness on Stop Child Abuse program.
3. Voluntary Blood Donation Camps. Thousands of units of blood were donated to Indian Red Cross Society, Govt. Hospitals and other Blood Banks.
4. Health Education and General Health Check-up camps.
5. Environmental Day-Planting program to grow more trees in and around of R T Nagar and donated sapling and seeds to BBMP.
6. Programmes for women and their rights, both constitutional and legal.
7. Personality Development of the student community.
8. Awareness of various schemes and projects sanctioned by Government.
9. Anti-terrorism awareness programme.
10. Rallies to create awareness in the public about the importance of Blood Donation, deadly diseases like pulse-polio, personality development programmes, AIDS Awareness, importance of Solar energy, importance of protecting ancient monuments etc.
11. Swachh Bharath Abhiyan Programme (Clean and Green Programme).
